How Does the Barcode Scanner for Skincare Work?

Point your phone camera at a product barcode in the AISkincare app. The app reads the barcode and looks up the product (e.g. via Open Food Facts or internal DB) to pre-fill name, brand, and sometimes ingredients. You can then save it to your product shelf and use it in routines.

Barcode scanning is the fastest way to add products. You can also add by camera or manually if the barcode isn't recognized or the product isn't in the database. Once added, use the ingredient checker to review ingredients and suitability for your skin type.

What If a Product Isn't Found?

If the barcode doesn't return a match, you can add the product manually: enter name, brand, category, and optionally ingredients. You can also use the camera to capture the label and then type in details. Manual entries still go on your shelf and can be linked to routine steps and checked with the ingredient checker if you paste in the ingredient list.
